Halloween My Style!
Halloween is truly the best when you are experiencing it through your child’s eyes! Last night was the most fun cellebrating Halloween with my daughter and her father. We had the best time going out on our spooky adventure.
We started out our adventure stopping by the impressively created haunted house in Vancouver. Never visiting this haunted house prior to last night, I don’t think it is the best place to take a 4 year old. Although my daughter is brave and curious to experience anything remotely scary, I would choose a less scary haunted house if available. As for me, I loved it! The haunted house exceeded all my expectations and it was truly scary!
The next order of business was the trick or treating of course. We went through our usual neighborhood and got a ton of candy. Passing all the children and seeing them in their creative costumes is one of the best highlights to Halloween. Although we had a great candy score, I still feel this tradition is very weird. All year we teach our child not to talk to strangers, let alone take candy from them and then we spend the night going to random houses asking for candy…bizarre!
At my age, most people are seeking out places and situations to indulge in drugs and alcohol, no thanks! I can easily pass on the invitation to get messed up and can definitely pass on the hangover to come the next morning. Having a 4 year old daughter is the best when it comes to truly enjoying the meaning of Halloween!
